Sick Days

With the flu and cold season upon us it got me thinking about what other working moms do when their child is sick. Our morning routine involves me and my husband getting ready, packing our lunches, preparing our breakfast and coffee, and then waking up buddy right before heading out the door. There have been a couple of times in those few minutes before we need to be on our way to work, when we realize that someone is running a fever. While we are both lucky to have bosses who are pretty flexible with last minute notification, we still have to decide who stays home. I am pretty lucky that there were times when my husband stepped up to stay home with buddy. I either had an important meeting or tons on my desk that needed to be done. We have also had to split the duty as the fever turned into a few days away from day care. So what do you do when your little one is under the weather ?

Welcome !

It appears that in today’s world everyone is blogging. So why start a new blog when there are thousands of them already out there? Since becoming a Mom I have turned to the internet for lots of things – researching baby products, getting tips to help my son sleep through the night, reading other parents tricks on parenting, and many more. In my research I came across quite a few helpful blogs. Quickly I started to notice a trend in a lot of my favorite blogs. They were all written by SAHM (stay at home moms). I believe that blogging is a great way to get connected with others. As a mom that works outside of the home, I wondered if there were any blogs out there written by other moms that worked outside of the home. To my surprise I did not find many. So here we are – follow me as I try to balance everything and still be a super mom !
